Director of Finance

Job Description

MACPAC, a non-partisan legislative branch agency that advises the U.S. Congress on Medicaid and CHIP policy issues, is seeking a Medicaid Payment and Financing Principal Analyst. The Director of Finance reports to the Deputy Director and is primarily responsible for financial management for MACPAC. The Director of Finance will direct all financial affairs of the organization with regard to budget formulation, budget execution, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills In order to perform the major duties above, the Director of Finance must have: mastery knowledge of financial, budgeting and contracting procedures; ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports and projections; mastery knowledge of U.S. government accounting regulations and standards; familiarity with U.S. government audits; knowledge of internal controls and risk assessment; excellent verbal, analytical, organizational and written skills; must be able to wear multiple hats in order to be hands on and maintain a big-picture mentality; and ability to accomplish tasks in a timely, accurate manner through and with others.
