Job Description
Are you interested in a career supporting investigative and intelligence operations at America's premier national security and law enforcement agency? As an Electronics Technician (ET), you will be directly involved with the installation, maintenance, and repair of the Bureau's electronic communications systems, data networks, and access control systems. The technician work you will perform in this position ensures the performance of communications equipment during investigative operations.
Qualifications
GS-7: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-5 grade level. SE is defined as follows: Assisted with the physical installation and maintenance of electronic communication systems. Conducted routine equipment tests; performed basic corrections and/or replacing defective parts. Handled, stored, and inventoried a variety of electronic equipment and components. GS-9: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-7 grade level. SE is defined as follows: Performed physical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic communication systems. Performed installations and preventive and corrective (or emergency) maintenance and service work on FM radio systems, data networks, or electronic physical security systems. Inspected equipment for adherence to standards and tolerances.

If no documentation is furnished no credit will be given for time worked in that position. The following notations must be specified in the documentation: Percent of time worked in the particular position (cannot conflict with main duties. The month/year work began Frequency worked (i.e., daily, monthly, etc.) Specific duties performed.
