Job Description
This position may be in a Flight Program Operation maintenance line station. Incumbent ensures safe and airworthy aircraft by following strict safety regulations and guidelines in compliance with 14 CFR 145.107
Qualifications
To qualify for this FV-H (FG/GS-12) position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G (FG/GS-10/11) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes: - Experience working in a 14 CFR 121/135/145 aviation operating environment. - Experience in troubleshooting and analyzing aircraft problems, using diagnostic equipment to resolve performance discrepancies, determining airworthiness of highly modified aviation platforms. - Experience in oversight of an aircraft/avionics maintenance program in accordance with established standards, policies, practices and procedures, knowledge of organizational mission, objectives, and procedures required to analysis a situation and make decisions. - Experience with quality management systems including inspection controls and analyzing data to detect unsatisfactory results. In addition to the minimum qualifications, the following has been determined to be a selective factor for this position. This means possession of this criterion is part of the minimum qualifications and is essential to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Applicants who do not possess this criterion are ineligible for further consideration. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR (SPF): Must possess an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate. A copy of your A&P certificate (front and back) must be uploaded to receive consideration for this position. ALSO QUALITY RANKING FACTOR (QRF): Well qualified applicants must document experience working in a 14 CFR Part 145 repair station environment Applicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history. Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
