THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number PDD1257000 and is part of the WY Surface Maintenance Manager, Wyoming Army National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.

Qualifications

AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Primary consideration will be made from Areas 1, 2, and 4. If referrals are not made from the target category, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible). Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ARNG employees assigned to the DCSLOG SMM. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ARNG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Army National Guard. Area 6: Current and prior service military members separated from any branch of the military to include US Air Force, US Army, US Navy, or US Marine Corps, Reserves, and National Guard components. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Work involves supervising, leading, or performing administrative work that involves collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and developing specialized information about equipment. Work also involves providing advisory services to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of equipment. Work may also involve developing or revising equipment maintenance programs. The work requires applying an intensive and practical knowledge of the characteristics, properties, and uses of equipment. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more classes of equipment. The experience must include knowledge of standard shop terminology. A basic knowledge of mechanical principles relating to equipment. Experience must demonstrate the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical publications. Knowledge is of the type gained from technical training, education, and experience in functions such as repairing, overhauling, maintaining, constructing, or inspecting equipment. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least 1-year equivalent to at least next lower grade level experience, education, or training which provided knowledge and skill in applying commonly used equipment, facility, or service principles and concepts. Experience in the use of tools and test equipment. Experience which provided knowledge of maintenance programs and techniques. Knowledge and skill in applying principles, concepts, and methods of equipment design. Experience in the use of tools and test equipment. Experience developing, installing, inspecting, or revising equipment maintenance programs and techniques. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.
