About the Position: This position is located at the Madigan Army Medical Center's Nutrition Care Division, Food Production and Services Tacoma, Washington. Tacoma is a diverse city nestled between Seattle and the state capital of Olympia. Tacoma is located on the shores of Commencement Bay, within pristine eyesight of Mount Rainier. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Food Service Worker Leader ~ without more than normal supervision. Ability to perform a variety of duties incident to the maintenance, cleanliness, and decoration of the work area. Wash dishes, pots, and pans, either manually or by use of mechanical equipment; disassemble, clean and reassemble dish washing machine after use. Setting up dining room for service; remove used utensils and dishes to dish washing area. Employee must bend and stoop in loading trays on delivery carts. Frequently lifts up to 60 pounds, i.e., cases of food and milk. Working Conditions: Work is performed predominantly in noisy kitchen and dining room areas; involves continuous standing and walking, mainly on concrete floors. Incumbent is subject to injuries from equipment used; exposed to dirt, grease, and water in cleaning tasks. Incumbent is subject to extremes of temperature in bringing supplies from walk-in refrigerators. There is danger of slipping on floors that are wet from daily mopping or where food or beverage has been dropped.???????
