Qualifications

Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GS/GG-09 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Conducting complex security reviews and security oversight actions independently to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations, and/or other security agreements; Independently conducting, recording and overseeing complex security violation investigations and/or associated activity occurring at contractor facilities to include the loss, compromise, or suspected compromise of classified information/material; Integrating and collaborating with internal/external stakeholders to decrease associated risk to programs/technologies and support strategic initiatives; Mediating and resolving conflicts involving security requirements and/or guidance amongst internal or external stakeholders. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1. Planning and Evaluating - Expresses ideas and facts to individuals or groups effectively; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others; facilitates an open exchange of ideas. 2. Oral Communication - Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes. 3. Self Management - Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible behavior. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Incumbent must successfully attain and maintain Information Technology/Security certifications equivalent to Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level III and IAT Level II per DOD 8140 and defined by DOD 8570.01-M, dated December 19, 2005, incorporating Change 4, dated November 10, 2015, within six months of the appointment date.
