Job Description
The ideal candidate is a person who possess skills in configuring/maintaining cloud-based LAN/WAN network systems and is available for rapid deployment to dynamically manage networks in multiple locations. The candidate should be able to configure Cisco devices, Cradlepoint's, and like devices. This candidate needs to be able to repair/maintain assets remotely by reviewing hardware and programming to fulfill mission requirements and security objectives.
Qualifications

To qualify for this IT Specialist (NETWORK) position at the IC-09 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-07 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following: Configuring, deploying, or maintaining IT technologies to support network operations. Administering cloud managed network equipment for remote network connectivity. Implementing network infrastructure to include physical cabling and/or fiber optics. Individual Occupational Requirement: In addition to the minimum qualifications described above, you must meet the following requirement(s) to be considered qualified for the position: Education: Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree. Education: All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks. OR Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. AND Positions at GS-7 (or equivalent) and above require one year of specialized experience at the next lower GS-grade (or equivalent). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT.
