Machinist Supervisor

Job Description

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, Executive Director, Library Buildings and Grounds, Assistant Superintendent Tenant Services Division, Projects Branch, Machine Section. The incumbent is the Machinist Supervisor.

Qualifications

You must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. SCREEN-OUT: Supervises machinists and electronics mechanics in accomplishing work operations in the Machining Section. Plans the use of workers, equipment, facilities, materials, and tools on a day-to-day, project-by-project or month-to-month basis; adheres to work priorities, project schedules, resources, and detailed work plans established by higher level supervisors. WS-12: 1. Assigns work to individuals and provides technical directions and assistance in accomplishing difficult work steps and processes; observes work in progress to anticipate and resolve problems, reassigns personnel within the group supervised, and coordinates work among workers and other supervisors to maintain work progress to meet schedules; inspects completed work for quality and work order requirements; and reports possible or actual work delays to the supervisor.
