Job Description
This position is located at USAG Benelux, DFMWR, Services, Chievres AB, Belgium. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
Qualifications
Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have nine months experience in warehousing activities. Knowledge of operation of fork lift equipment desired but not required. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Ability to stock, move, arrange and rotate warehouse items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher level employee. Skilled in manually stacking, palletizing, arranging and rotating items according to size and weight; using hand trucks. Dollies and other similar manual equipment to move stock. Ability to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue and the labeling of requirements for incoming and outgoing materials. RESPONSIBILITY: Works under the guidance of a supervisor or higher-graded worker who provides general instructions on repetitive assignments and specific guidance including written instructions on new operations or procedures. Performs repetitive assignments such as stocking, rotating and marking stock items that are usually by detailed procedures or standardized instructions. Work is periodically spot checked by a supervisor or higher-graded employee to insure adherence to procedures and objectives. PHYSICAL EFFORTS: Material handlers are often required to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time and to bend, stoop and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions. May lift and carry items that weigh up to 40 pounds. Heavier items are moved with weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is done inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty or poorly lighted. Regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls and injury from falling stock. The work may be dirty, greasy and dusty and require the wearing of protective clothing such as hardhats.
