Selective Placement Factor: Must have successfully completed a Criminal Investigator Training Program (CITP), Uniformed Police Training Program (UPTP) or equivalent Federal State or Local Law Enforcement training program. Must submit documentation showing proof of completion with your application. Specialized Experience: must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the federal service leading and conducting activities that support the development, implementation and management of an enterprise-wide physical security program. Such experience includes providing technical expertise regarding security posture, technology, tactics, and other physical security-related subjects; advising senior management on a variety of matters pertaining to security practices and policies; developing security business practices and standard operating procedures based on the interpretation of various security laws, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelines; and overseeing security reviews and audits. Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement. Work Environment: Work is normally performed in both an office setting where no unusual safety precautions are required; and outside in varying weather conditions, however, during emergencies and natural disasters, working conditions may be austere. Generally, the work area is adequately lighted, heated, cooled, and ventilated. The incumbent may be required to spend time in government, private, or on public transportation. Physical Demands: Work is normally performed in both an office setting where no unusual safety precautions are required; and outside in varying weather conditions, however, during emergencies and natural disasters, working conditions may be austere.
