Job Description
Who May Apply: Current permanent DFAS employees in the competitive service, eligible DoD PPP Military Spouse preference applicants, and current DFAS VRA employees. This is NOT a remote position.
Qualifications
Human Resources will determine your qualifications for each entry grade level based on your interest and the additional following criteria. Resumes for federal government positions need more detailed work descriptions and accomplishments than a typical private sector resume. Please be sure to clearly describe the full scope of your work experiences in your resume. Combinations of education and experience may also be sufficient. One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized Experience Is Defined As: Experience managing the complete lifecycle of large, complex projects from initiation through implementation to closure, using project management principles, methods and tools to accomplish project objectives and recommending solutions based on identified risks and value to the organization. Please Note: Experience must include providing Project Management consulting support, and working independently and with a team of individuals on developing and implementing project management plans, including project charters, communication plans, risk management plans, change management plans, staffing management plans , work breakdown structures, and project schedules. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-12 or higher grade in Federal Service. You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
