QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (TITLE 32)

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1818000 and is part of the IL 126, National Guard.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), the only area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. Military Grades: Minimum Rank of E7 - Maximum Rank of E8 Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 Level. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 Level MUST possess at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade of GS-9; experience, education, or training involving a thorough knowledge of product or range of products involved, the manufacturing methods and techniques, special processes, test, and performance requirements; and skill in developing plans and programs; experience possessed by an expert in specialization able to give technical direction to otherwise competent workers; experience determining operations when difficult and questionable phases of malfunctions are found; experience which required significant and concrete work accomplishments (i.e., special projects, working groups, or detailing assignments) involving interpersonal contacts in a quality assurance or related field; experience in dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for the function required by type of position to be filled and the organization involved. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
