Job Description

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Shortage Category and/or Critical Need Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the US Army Corps of Engineers, Military Programs Directorate in Washington, D.C.

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the General Schedule (GS) - 14 Grade Level. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: 1) utilizing strategic direction, policies, and mission for the organization in accordance with federal real estate disposal and environmental guidelines 2) determining methods for accomplishing objectives with high level officials in the Army Real Estate mission and 3) communicating with Major Commands, Major Subordinate Commands, installation Commanders, US Army Corps of Engineers elements, Dept. of Army, and Air Force, and high level representatives of other Federal agencies regarding Real Estate programs.
