Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: One year experience in planning, organizing, and administering fitness programs. Two years' experience in supervision and management of health/fitness staff or equivalent leadership experience including providing work direction to other employees. Possess a current CPR, AED, and First Aid certificate from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or obtain within 6 months of hire. HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Fitness or a related field appropriate to work of the position can be substituted for one year of experience. Possess and maintain a basic level group exercise or personal trainer certification from a nationally recognized and accredited certifying organization or able to obtain within 6 months of hire. Two years of general work experience that demonstrates knowledge of DoD and/or MWR programs, government procurement and recreation management software programs. Please include MONTH/YEAR and HOURS per week for all previous work experience listed on the resume. If there is no indication of time in position, we will credit the minimum.
