SECURITY SPECIALIST (T32)

THIS IS AN AIR NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION UNIT: 133rd Security Forces Squadron LOCATION: ST. PAUL, MN SELECTING OFFICIAL: SMSgt Rodney Gattis; 612-713-2003 AIR NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED A 2 year trial period may be required IAW EO 14284.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. GENERAL AND SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Learned ability to assess the surrounding environment to recognize immediate risk levels. Specialized experience such as security police; information security; sensitive compartmental information; special security requirements; force protection; anti-terrorism; information protection; security police training, unit deployment, and physical security. Work involves security policies, guiding principles, training requirements, and certifications. Some work in this occupation require expanded security clearances, an extensive knowledge of the laws, rules, regulations and procedures governing a distinct set of operational duties and responsibilities for performing security functions and handling weapons.
