Job Description

These positions are located in the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council (Permitting Council) Infrastructure Project Management team. The incumbents will be responsible for coordinating permitting timetables for FAST-41 covered and transparency infrastructure projects.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:FOR THE GS-14 GRADE LEVEL you must possess at least ONE FULL YEAR specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing at least four out of five of the following: Serving as a subject matter expert in Federal environmental reviews and authorizations pertaining to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), Clean Water Act, and other relevant Federal statutes and regulations. Managing the preparation, review, and approval timelines for various environmental permit applications. Implementing best practices to add consistency, predictability and accelerated timeliness to federal infrastructure permitting processes. Identifying and tracking of performance metrics related to environmental permitting projects. Coordinating environmental permitting projects involving multiple stakeholder interests.
