Job Description
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SHEET METAL MECHANIC (AIRCRAFT), Position Description Number PDD1371000 and is part of the WY 153rd Maintenance Squadron, Wyoming Air National Guard. This is a Title 32 Dual Status Technician Excepted Service position. Military affiliation is required.
Qualifications
AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: The consideration of qualified eligible candidates will be as follows: Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 MXS. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6: Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. Situational teleworking may be considered on a case-by-case basis. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience or training with the ability to plan, manufacture, and install cylindrical, square, or rectangular-shaped objects that have easily constructed fastenings such as single and double-hem edges and single, double or grooved seams. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training in planning, layout, and construction skills to manufacture items and systems with dovetailed seams, set-in-bottom seams, burred-bottom seams, or wired or lock seams. Experience using more complicated shop tools and equipment. Experience in using metals including stainless steel, copper sheet, magnesium, honeycomb material and alloys. Experience demonstrating the use of more complicated mathematical calculations and complicated measuring instruments. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidates will be required to be in a compatible military grade and assignment prior to the effective date of placement. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Applicants must possess or be able to obtain AFSC 2A7X3, Aircraft Structural Maintenance. Enlisted 2A7X3 ASVAB Requirements: Must possess a minimum score of "47" on the Mechanical portion of the ASVAB. Medical Profile PULHES must not be greater than 333132. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. unassisted. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid state's driver's license.
