Job Description
This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Northwest Region, Puget Sound Agency, Office of the Superintendent, Human Services in Everett, Washington. Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Professional and Scientific Positions and Individual Occupational Requirements for GS-0185: Social Work Series). BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Degree: Social Work. Must fulfill all of the requirements for the Master's Degree in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: In addition to meeting the basic entry level qualification requirements, applicants must have the following: GS-12: 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sector) which includes work involving applying practical knowledge of a wide range of social casework, family therapy, systems theory and community organization; direct provision of child welfare services, maintaining active agency participation in the varied advocacy and intervention programs and the coordination of and required cooperation with allied social service, health and other agencies; providing counseling services; developing and maintaining a formalized case management system which documents the workflow of case services with individual case plans; provides technical assistance on all aspects of social services programs and activities; and develops and supports program budget matters.
