Job Description
This position is located within a National Forest. The incumbent is responsible for performing duties of a supply clerk as well as a property clerk.
Qualifications

GS-03: Applicants must have six months of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work which provided the knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position being filled; OR one year of successfully completed education above high school; OR combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience. The education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. Examples of specialized experience includes: Greets visitors and answers telephone, routing calls or personally giving information when routine or procedural matters are involved. Provides overall support to the administrative staff on the unit. Serves as Collection Officer to sell and maintains accountability records as required. Performs timekeeping duties. Determines supplies needed for the office staff. Prepares the necessary requisition/procurement requests and receives and distributes supplies and special-order items. Uses word processing software and database or spreadsheet software to enter, revise, sort, or calculate, and retrieve data. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
