Job Description
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Surface Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor (Title 32) (Permanent), Position Description Number D1295000 and is part of the VA G4, National Guard.
Qualifications

NOTE: All job seekers will be required to limit their resumes to 2 pages in length when applying for job opportunity announcements (JOAs) WHO CAN APPLY: GROUP I - In order to be eligible for this position you must be a Warrant Officer (W1/WO1 - W4/CW4) currently employed (permanent) in the Virginia Army National Guard Military Technician Program. Military Grades: Warrant Officer (W1/WO1 - W4/CW4) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have experience or training which demonstrates knowledge to provide overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have at least 36 months of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the WS-12 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government? This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the WG grade indicated. This experience must include activities such as: Experience allocating resources and distributing work to organizational segments or groups under their control? Experience assigning and explaining work requirements and operating instructions to subordinate supervisors, sets deadlines, and establishes the sequence of work operations to be followed. Experience recommending promotion or reassignment of subordinate supervisors, making formal appraisals of their performance, and determining their training needs. Experience ensuring all aspects of Force Protection to include physical security, facility and vehicle key control, property accountability, access control and employee protection are in accordance with established policies and regulations.
