Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Applicant's demonstrated ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise validate the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience which is directly related to the position to be filled and which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. GS-09- Must have at least 1 year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade, GS-07. Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures. Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts. Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates and hours worked per week for each occurrence of both civilian and military employment (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only will result in disqualification. Your record of experience and/or training must show possession of the following knowledge, skills and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position: - Incumbent must possess a knowledge of and skill in applying fundamental military personnel policies, training principles, practices, methods, procedures, rules, guidelines, publications, etc., to understand respective programs and converse with managers. Advises management on implementation of standardized practices and principles for incorporating career development strategies into the workplace to remedy any barriers or problems adversely affecting employee career growth opportunities. Must have sufficient knowledge of the automated systems, personal computers, and software employed, in order to make reports (e.g., training needs survey), correspondence, and extract data. Must possess ability to analyze data/products to anticipate training needs for specific categories of positions that involve fairly well-defined and readily understood duties (e.g., administrative support and assistance), determine adequacy of training programs and/or deficiencies thereof.
