Job Description
This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for Management of program travel activities entails developing evaluative methods for travel programs, preparing travel authorizations and vouchers, and advising travelers on policies. It requires knowledge of passport issuance, regulations, and relocation procedures, as well as resolving issues in travel automated systems like the Defense Travel System.
Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-12, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Manage program travel activities; skills in developing methods and approaches to evaluate a travel program; developing new methods and approaches to evaluate a travel program; preparing travel authorizations and vouchers and advising office travelers of policies, knowledge of passport issuance; regulations and relocation procedures and resolving technical and functional problems in travel automated systems (e.g. Defense Travel System). Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
