What you'd do

Support the Military's Quality of Life programs! The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. This position is located at the Cliffside RV Park aboard NAS Whidbey Island.

Major duties

Incumbent provides direct customer service to patrons using the facility. Utilizing computer programs, assist customers in making, adjusting or cancelling reservations (in person or via phone). Check guest into their site upon arrival, providing directions, answering questions and collecting associated fees. Provide information to customers on other MWR Programs and Facilities. Utilize Point Of Sale (POS) System for retail sales to customers. Assist customers in setting up storage agreements for their vehicles and vessels. Answering Phone calls and processing voicemails regarding reservations and storage availability. Coordinating maintenance/cleaning requirements with other staff and camp hosts. Responsibilities of this position will be to assist in planning, coordinating and executing activities and events in a family friendly campground environment for patrons of all ages. The incumbent will assist with keeping facility safe, clean, and report facility issues to manager or supervisor Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you need to qualify

Incumbent must have one-year practical work experience including direct customer service or experience with data entry, word processing, internet, e-mail, and at least one-year experience handling cash and utilizing point of sale system. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and communicate effectively and courtesy, using proper English both verbally and in writing. Must be able to follow verbal and written directions, and present a neat and clean appearance.
