SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC)
What you'd do
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-1s4 through GS-15. This position has a control point of GS-14 step 10.
Major duties
You will continuously assess progress of group efforts toward established priorities and quality of performance for the assigned task(s). You will recommend and justify budgets for the division. You will participate in technical conferences and serve on various committees and selection panels. You will coordinate application of technical resources and actions of the division with other departments and field commands to achieve maximum responsiveness to the customers and avoid duplication of effort or capabilities. You will perform administrative and technical supervisory duties such as planning and scheduling work, assigning work to employees, assuring that production and accuracy requirements are met, etc.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-03 or GS-12 through GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying cybersecurity concepts and implementation as it relates to Facility Related Control Systems; 2) Interfacing with higher echelon organization in negotiating cyber requirements to be included in various Facility Related Control Systems cyber instructions; 3) Establishing cyber processes and procedures for Facility Related Control Systems; 4) Submitting budget and identifying tasks to include in the work breakdown structure; 5) Assigning and directing work, setting objectives, evaluating work performed by subordinates, and resolving work problems.
