IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/NETWORK)
What you'd do
You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/NETWORK) in the Command Information Office (CIO) of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
Major duties
You will administer the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in support of the organizations IM/IT program. You will install new or modified hardware, operating systems, and applications software. You will conduct system and applications analysis/design and recommend resolutions to problems and issues. You will implement system security procedures and identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities and risks. You will troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other problems.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Installing, configuring, and maintaining complex hardware and software systems to ensure the continuous operation and lifecycle support of Information Technology (IT) or Operational Technology (OT) programs; 2) Interpreting and enforcing cybersecurity policies, processes and guidelines to analyze systems and recommend effective resolutions to vulnerabilities; 3) Administering and monitoring system security protocols, including firewall configurations, host and client access controls, file permissions, and active user account lifecycles; 4) Diagnosing and resolving complex system malfunctions and operational anomalies to minimize downtime and restore optimal network capabilities. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
