Major duties

As Team Leader, communicates the organization’s mission, vision, and values to the team and ensures they are integrated into team goals, objectives, work plans, products and services. Explains to team members the action items, projects and/or program issues under review, problems to be solved, deadlines and time frames for completion. Provides technical guidance and advisory assistance for the implementation and sustainment of the Defense Travel System(DTS) program. Applies analytical and evaluative techniques to review and provide recommendations on strategic plans developed by subordinate Defense Travel Administrators.

What you need to qualify

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Develop and recommend standard operating procedures to enhance managerial compliance. Improve travel operations by resolving technical issues and aligning policies with agency goals. Provided strategic advisory assistance to senior Resource Management leadership regarding deployment, operations, and policy impacts. You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
