What you'd do

You will serve as a Supervisory Supply Management Specialist in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE.

Major duties

You will collaborate with other regional counterparts as required and apply experience, judgement, and innovation in the direction, coordination, and administration of daily logistics and supply systems operations. You will be providing technical program management support for NAVSUP Product and Service in compliance with policy and current regulations while reviewing, approving or adjusting priorities. You will be responsible for proper planning and execution of funding for financial allocations phasing plans, staffing plans, statistical reporting and activity reports. You will assist making decisions over military and civilian personnel within the department.

What you need to qualify

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include the following: 1) Supervising the product and service branches at the site; 2) Providing guidance and advice on labor/management issues; 3) Obtaining policy clarification as necessary on processes that impact operations and making recommendations on new or revised local directives, policies, and instructions on supply operations throughout the site; 4) Overseeing the administration of timely and effective training for civilian employees; 5) Analyzing metrics and operations independently and resolving difficult issues and problems in the assigned area of responsibility involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures; 6) Serving as the technical expert on detailed comprehensive aspects of supply management functions and providing recommendations to management, other members of the command, and to the higher authority on all aspects of supply operations.
