COMBINED TRADES SUPERVISOR II
What you'd do
You will serve as a COMBINED TRADES SUPERVISOR II in the LIFTING & HANDLING DEPARTMENT, PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Major duties
You will serve as the final on-site authority for resolving the most complex technical problems and integration conflicts involving machining. You will develop goals and objectives for crane maintenance that align with overall organizational and equipment maintenance objectives. You will allocate resources and distribute work to organizational segments or groups under their control. You will evaluate work operations and review completed work and inspection reports to ensure that standards are met.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO PROVIDE PRODUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES: Plans, directs, and coordinates the work of subordinate first-level supervisors. Develops and executes long-range work plans and integrated production schedules on a quarterly and project-duration basis. Analyzes complex work packages and technical specifications to de-conflict and sequence the work of these dissimilar but related trades, ensuring that the operations of all shops and trades are integrated without conflict. Determines the resources, materials, equipment, and skilled personnel required to accomplish long-range project schedules, and reallocates resources between subordinate shops to address emergent requirements and shifting project priorities. Ensures the consistent application of all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
