What you'd do

You will serve as a PROCUREMENT TECHNICIAN in the Resources Management/Comptroller Department of NETPDC.

Major duties

You will provide technical support for procurement operations and programs and purchase critical supplies and services and unique provisions using a government purchase card. You will assemble and prepare invitations for bids, request for proposals, delivery orders, purchase card, delivery order amendments and other procurement documents. You will perform contract administration support functions for delivery orders for procurement of IT equipment and software, instructional material, supplies and services. You will compile contract administration data such as delays, funds expended and performance and negotiating of contractors in meeting delivery schedules. You will review and prepare documents (e.g., delivery orders, change orders, amendments, modifications) in compliance with procurement procedures. You will update contract documents or contract files to correct discrepancies in preparation for contract close-out procedures. You will input data (e.g., statistics, acquisition) into data processing equipment. You will perform data entry into a procurement system or other automated databases. You will track status of requisition, contracts, and orders using automated files. You will type correspondence, reports, or similar materials from draft form to enter into a database.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Reviewing changes to procurement regulations and policies and coordinating with the supervisor/specialist on any required changes to solicitations or contracts; 2) Reviewing administrative and purchasing documents (e.g., funding citations, part numbers, unit prices, and invoices) to detect, track, and correct technical discrepancies or missing data; 3) Tracking and maintaining the status of actions/orders using automated and manual systems and through contacts with vendors/contractors; 4) Collecting vendor quotes/proposals according to competitive requirements and abstracts bid information; 5) Investigating and resolving customer/vendor complaints of errors in shipment, payment, and/or contract documentation; and 6) Inputting various statistical and acquisition data into data processing equipment and procurement databases. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
