What you'd do

You will serve as a HR ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the NVRECRUITNGCMD.

Major duties

You will plan, organize, and administer the military personnel program for the organization. You will provide authoritative advice and guidance to the Commanding Officer, Chief Staff Officer, Human Resources (HR) Supervisor and staff pertaining to military personnel administration. You will monitor and review reports furnished by higher headquarters to identify trends and assist with the management of personnel readiness within the organization. You will assemble, analyze, and verify a variety of facts and statistics relating to officer and enlisted personnel waiver utilization. You will review a variety of military personnel transactions including appointments, enlistments, separations, promotions, flagging actions, reassignments, reductions, duty assignments, transfers, medical evaluations, etc.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Evaluating progress of various elements of the assigned program and recommending solutions to problems; 2) Using a wide range of computer techniques, requirements, methods, systems software, and systems documentation to support military personnel programs; 3) Gathering, analyzing, and summarizing facts to develop and present findings in reports or briefings in various formats; and 4) Communicating, orally and in writing, to prepare and present correspondence, reports, and briefs.
