What you'd do

You will serve as an Equipment Specialist (Electrical & Ordnance) in the Weapons Engineering Division of the In-service Engineering and ILS Department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA.

Major duties

You will assist engineering in all phases of operational and maintenance of the Lightweight Torpedo and Support and Test Equipment. You will act independently to plan, develop, coordinate and present briefings to DOD civilian and military personnel. You will investigate and resolve unprecedented major deficiencies. You will provide on-site maintenance assistance on installed Support and Test Equipment as required for support of production and maintenance. You will participate in Torpedo Certification Examining Board inspections and NUWC Division, Keyport Product Line Center Audits. You will recommend sources of supply, required levels of inspection, parameters for first article and production lot testing and provide other special recommendations as necessary to assist the procurement activity.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing hands-on operation, testing, maintenance, and modification of Lightweight Torpedo Weapons Systems and associated Support and Test Equipment (S&TE); applying In-Service Engineering and Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) principles throughout the system lifecycle; interpreting technical specifications to develop maintenance procedures; coordinating events and providing technical training to US Fleet stakeholders or Foreign Military Sales (FMS) partners; and tracking, analyzing, and resolving equipment deficiency reports to implement corrective actions.
