HR SPEC (RECRUITMENT/CLASSIFICATION)
What you'd do
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (RECRUITMENT/CLASSIFICATION) in the MARINE CORPS CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.
Major duties
You will apply a full range of information gathering and decision making; and analyze complex recruitment and classification issues and problems. You will assist in developing short and long-range staffing plans to forecast mission requirements. You will assess employee turnover patterns and review technological changes and local labor market conditions to provide advise to managers on future staffing strategies. You will advise managers on creating cost effective and efficient organizations, proper job designs, supervisory ratio, organization and position structures. You will review position descriptions for accuracy, recommending proper title, series and grade in accordance with appropriate classification standards and guidelines. You will relay information to employees on changes in policy, directives, and procedures. You will assist with job analysis, writing crediting plan, reviewing applicant eligibility.
What you need to qualify
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Interpreting, analyzing, evaluating, and applying human resource laws, regulations, principles, and practices; and collaborating with management on classification and recruitment matters. GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector Interpreting, analyzing, evaluating, and applying recruitment and placement laws, regulations, principles, and practices; collaborating with management officials to write and review position descriptions; AND providing advice to management on classification and recruitment matters.
