COMBINED TRADES SUPERVISOR II
What you'd do
You will serve as a COMBINED TRADES SUPERVISOR II in the Production Resources Department, Structural Shop of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Major duties
You will determine the resources, materials, equipment, and skilled personnel required to accomplish long-range project schedules. You will plan, direct, and coordinate the work of subordinate first-level supervisors. You will inspect work in progress and upon completion to ensure they meet all technical, nuclear, and quality assurance specifications. You will serve as the final on-site authority for resolving the most complex technical problems and integration conflicts You will make recommendations for promotions, reassignments, and awards for subordinate supervisors.
What you need to qualify

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE: Analyzing and approving work plans developed by subordinate trade supervisors, monitoring the status of their work in relation to the overall project schedule, and making adjustments for emergent requirements. Setting deadlines and establishing the critical sequence of work operations to be followed. Planning, directing, integrating, and executing complex, multi-trade structural work essential to submarine and ship overhaul, repair, and modernization. Developing and executing long-range work plans and integrated production schedules on a quarterly and project duration basis. Determining the resources, materials, equipment, and skilled personnel required to accomplish long-range project schedules.
