REGIONAL DISPATCH TRAINING & QUALITY SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a REGIONAL DISPATCH TRAINING & QUALITY SPECIALIST of COMMANDER NAVY REGION HAWAII.
Major duties
You will design and implement training programs including benchmarks, timelines, and available learning support tools and methods. You will establish and implement a quality assurance/quality improvement (QA/QI) program for the dispatch center. You will provide classroom instruction for newly hired employees and coordinate on-the-job training of all emergency management dispatchers. You will perform routine dispatch services. You will instruct shift employees on specific duties and job techniques and make available written instructions, reference materials, etc.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1.Provide instruction and training, lead, teach using various teaching techniques and training tools to effectively instruct others. 2) Processing and recording pertinent data for incoming emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatching the appropriate responding fire, ambulance and police units. 3) Operating 9-1-1 systems to include Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD), radio dispatch equipment, recording devices and multi-function telephones. 4) Perform emergency dispatching, make critical decision, and effectively communicate and multi-task.
