Major duties

If selected at the NH-III level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity: Assists leadership in assessing complex management problems and performs other administrative duties related to the projects assigned Analyzes internal programs, functions, and resources related to defense industrial capabilities Develops guidelines for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating industrial base information Acquires and coordinate contractor support and specialized consulting services Conducts studies on efficiency, productivity, and mission alignment Identifies private-sector tools and processes that could improve DoW industrial analysis

What you need to qualify

To qualify for Management and Program Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the NH-III level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-II level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. To qualify at the NH-IV level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-III level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: NH-III: Evaluating work methods, procedures, organizational structures, manpower use, and management controls Proposing, planning, and managing studies related to DoW industrial capability policy implementation Preparing clear, concise reports, briefings, issue papers, and correspondence Representing the organization in working groups, task forces, and interagency teams Proposing industrial analysis process improvements, and formulating practical recommendations NH-IV: Leading the strategic development and integration of enterprise-wide maintenance, sustainment, and IT/IS business systems Formulating and deploying logistics or sustainment policies across a large enterprise Preparing clear, concise reports, briefings, issue papers, and correspondence Leads multi-Component working groups to institutionalize modern IT/IS capabilities and ensure synchronized, cost-effective modernization across the DoW enterprise Proposing industrial analysis process improvements, and formulating practical recommendations Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
