Major duties

Serves as the Administrative Officer for the 500th Military Intelligence Brigade, Office of the S1. Acts as the primary technical advisor to the Brigade Commander, Deputy Commander, subordinate commanders and staff on all issues involving civilian human resources management. Reviews administrative and operational actions prepared to ascertain capability with DoD, Army and the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Manages the Department of the Army (DAC) civilians IAW established policies and procedures under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Management System (DCIPS). Establishes organizational-specific methods and strategies designed to capture and manage fluctuation of assignments as dictated by mission needs and requirements. Manages the INSCOM Civilian Employee Drug Testing Program for the 500th Military Intelligence Brigade-Theater (MIB-T). Conducts mandatory training for supervisors and managers and the 500th MIB-T civilian population. Manages/works from multiple TDAs to include the realignment of positions in order to track, report and manage assigned strength. Manages the Civilian Employees Incentive Awards Program for the 500th MIB-T. Reviews, updates automated records and reports to reflect command personnel, distribution, status of outstanding personnel actions and staffing trends to support key management personnel in decision making. Recommends actions of ensure consistency with INSCOM, DA, and DoD strategies and objectives.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience equivalent to at least the GG/GS-12 level which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Managing and directing Civilian Personnel/Human Resources support functions such as strength and manpower utilization, organizational structure, incentive awards, civilian training opportunities, and/or civilian employee benefits/entitlements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12).
