What you'd do

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) in the NAVY RECRUITING PROCESSING STATION (Sunrise, FL) of NAVAL RECRUITING DISTRICT MIAMI.

Major duties

You will coordinate and process travel reviewing, auditing, and processing official travel authorizations and vouchers using the Defense Travel System (DTS). You will manage the command Government Travel Charge Card (GTCC) program, liaising with Citi Bank to process cardholder applications, monitor accounts, and ensure compliance with DOD travel card policies. You will serve as the Bus Ticket Agency Coordinator, managing commercial transit accounts, coordinating transportation bookings, and reconciling travel receipts. You will ensure all travel requests, expense reports, and administrative forms strictly comply with the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and local command policies. You will serve as a primary point of contact for resolving DTS routing errors, assisting personnel with voucher corrections, and identifying administrative bottlenecks in the travel pipeline. You will provide clerical support to headquarters operations, which includes processing forms, maintaining tracking logs, and answering inquiries. You will utilize standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) to draft, format, and proofread routine command correspondence, memorandums, and official reports.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing automated software systems for HR support, including processing actions, maintaining databases, and reviewing information for discrepancies; 2) Preparing reports, briefs, and other documents for management; and 3) Maintaining accurate and up-to-date files, records, or forms.
