What you'd do

You will serve as a SECRETARY OF GENERAL STAFF in the SPECIAL STAFF subdivision of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION.

Major duties

You will perform overall planning and implementation of plans for the assigned organization. You will analyze mission assignments, establish program objectives, and develop current and long-range plans, projects, and operating schedules. You will analyze and interpret laws, rules, regulations, directives, correspondence, and related publications on matters of administration. You assist in the interpretation of technical instructions and regulations and ensure prompt and proper implementation of the same. You will coordinate operations to ensure maximum utilization of resources. You will be responsible for authoring, implementing, and maintaining knowledge management processes and programs. You will be responsible for overall administration of taskers, Command correspondence, protocol, Command directives, and management functions. You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments and the capabilities of employees.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Formulating organization-wide policies and procedures in direct support of senior leadership goals and initiatives, including persuading and influencing divisions or departments and external organizations to communicate the mission of the organization; 2) managing complex programs or projects; 3) performing daily operations and long-term planning of senior leadership priorities.
