NUCLEAR BUSINESS SPECIALIST
What you'd do
You will serve as a Nuclear Business Specialist in the Nuclear Business and Strategic Planning Office of PSNS and IMF.
Major duties
You will serve as staff assistant to the Deputy Nuclear Business Manager. You will monitor and provide updates on business processes, departmental training, workload forecasts, and strategic planning. You will establish and maintain relationships with a broad range of personnel. You will oversee the financial performance of the Nuclear Business and Strategic Planning Office. You will prepare shipyard financial plans and budgets according to Shipyard budgetary policies, systems, goals, processes, procedures, and regulations. You will prepare, maintain and determine the need for new or revised Shipyard Departmental instructions and/or guidelines. You will evaluate the need for additional training requirements and advise Division Heads on the appropriate corrective actions. You will conduct special studies as assigned by the Deputy Nuclear Business Managers. You will speak to assemblies and communicate effectively via written correspondence. You will serve as the departments SharePoint developer, coordinator for IT, training, telework and security, and Communications CCOP representative.
What you need to qualify
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing managerial assistance by analyzing data or administrative procedures to develop budgets, business processes or policies for the efficient and effective performance of an organization.
