ADVANCED TOMAHAWK CRUISE MISSILE AND HYPERSONIC WEAPONS MISSION PLANNER
What you'd do
You will serve as an ADVANCED TOMAHAWK CRUISE MISSILE AND HYPERSONIC WEAPONS MISSION PLANNER in the TLAM & HSW MISSION PLANNER of CRUISE MISSILE SUPPORT ACTIVITY ATLANTIC.
Major duties
You will be responsible for the complete planning of advanced TLAM and HSW mission planning to ensure CCDSs requirements are achieved while in compliance with legal and regulatory directives. You will develop and maintain the highest level of Tomahawk Planning System (TPS) and Hypersonic Weapons Planning System (HWPS) proficiency within the Department of Defense (DOD). You will balance workload and provide advice, guidance, and direction on a wide range of technical and administrative issues. You will identify requirements and initiate requests for additional resources including personnel, overtime, equipment, supplies, and space to ensure success in meeting goals and objectives. You will support and participate in the Direct Testing (DT) and the Operational Testing (OT) of all new TLAM and HSW mission planning systems to assist in the validation and ensure full functionality of new systems capabilities. You will develop and maintain expertise on coalition strike platforms and weapon systems capability. You will effectively communicate technical knowledge, maintain proficiency, and demonstrate understanding of other friendly weapon system capabilities and limitations.
What you need to qualify
To qualify for a GS-13, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) and Hypersonic Weapons (HSW) system mission planning, distribution and execution processes and procedures and weapon systems complimentary to TLAM and HSW to effectively develop hypotheses, theories, collaborate, integrate, adapt, influence and significantly impact the operational plans and strategic policy decisions supporting POTUS, SECDEF, and the supported Joint Task Force or Geographic Combatant Commanders. Experience applying knowledge of kinetic and non-kinetic threats to TLAM and HSW to apply, evaluate and address established and theoretical risk to current and projected operational areas of interest. Experience devising innovative solutions to monitor, track, report, and minimize risk or defeat. Experience applying quantitative and qualitative techniques and methodologies to analyze complex plans, strike rehearsals, and exercise scenarios, articulate observations and findings, and implement solutions to enhance overall mission/combat readiness. Experience identifying emergent or evolving operational requirements to evaluate and validate varied data sources and coordinate the evaluation and selection of data management tools.
