What you'd do

You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.

Major duties

You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organizations programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for the acquisition and use of funds to support the organizations programs and activities. You will communicate the organizations strategic plan, mission, vision and values and incorporate these into the teams goals, objectives, work products and services. You will distribute and balance workload among employees considering skill level or specialization, timeframes for completion, and priorities.

What you need to qualify

GS-11: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Detailed intensive knowledge of policies, precedents, goals, objectives, regulations, and guidelines of a functional area; 2) Comprehensive, detailed knowledge and understanding of budgetary policies, precedents, procedures, and regulations; 3) Intensive knowledge of administrative and financial management systems; 4) Skill in identifying, analyzing and resolving a range of budgetary problems such as development of alternative methods of funding; 5) skill in analytical reasoning, ability to apply skill to the identification, analysis and conceptualization of budgetary problems and development of alternative solutions is required. GS-12: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing and modifying information within a financial management system to generate reports and adjust for changes in funding requirements;2) Overseeing complex research, analysis and interpretation of a variety of financial/supply databases to manage funds for an organization;3) Coordinating with team members and senior management to collect, analyze, or interpret financial/supply information;4) Training team members on selection and application of appropriate problem-solving methods in financial management systems;5) Providing leadership and guidance to subordinate team members on specific work methods and financial management procedures.6) Supply and financial knowledge as it relates to Commercial Asset Visibility (CAV) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for inventory accuracy.
