What you'd do
You will serve as an AEROSPACE ENGINEER (Structural - Stress Analyst) in the FLEET SUPPORT TEAM (FST) DEPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHEAST (Cecil Commerce Center)
Major duties
You will plan, coordinate, and/or conduct and solve engineering issues requiring substantial analysis and evaluation of causes, effects and alternatives. You will evaluate any significant situations that arise and take appropriate planning steps to initiate prompt responsive action. You will provide technical professional expertise and oversight to ensure the latest advancements in engineering technology are considered and implemented in work planning. You will maintain effective communication with superiors, peers and subordinates throughout the NAVAIR TEAM, other government agencies and private industry regarding various engineering issues.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing and/or Reviewing and/or Approving Structural Engineering Stress Analysis work products in support of Naval Aviation; and 2) Providing Naval Aviation Structural Integrity Engineering solutions to Fleet Support Teams, Program Managers - Air (PMA), and/or Program Executive Offices (PEO/DPAE).
