HEALTH SYSTEMS SPECIALIST (DEVELOPMENTAL/INTERVENTION SERVICES)
What you'd do
You will serve as a Health Systems Specialists in BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY.
Major duties
You will serve as key advisor to Office of the Navy Surgeon General and the command, giving guidance throughout the organization on the implementation of Education and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS). You will interpret legislation and broad DoD guidance to develop, review and coordinate Department of Navy policies and procedures for implementation of EDIS. You will develop personnel training modules that lead to EDIS Specialist certification. You will research, develop, prepare or revise written materials to include letters, memoranda, policy and guidance, issue papers, reports, etc. to be used by Navy Programs, in regard to provisions of services. You will provide program leadership, management, oversight for all EDIS programs throughout the Navy.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience assisting in the medical and educational needs of military family members. Experience interpreting legislative laws and policies relating to the DoD and DHA. Experience monitoring and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of Readiness programs such as Overseas Suitability Screening (OSS)/Family Member Travel Screening (FMTS), Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS), and The Adult Incapacitated Program (INCAP). Experience with project management methods and techniques to ensure effective program operations. Experience presenting briefings and conducting workshops and trainings. Experience researching complex material and assisting with the preparation of written material such as letters, memoranda, policy and guidance, and reports.
