What you'd do
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Information Technology Management (INFOSEC) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan
Major duties
Serve as technical expert, source of expertise, and focal point concerning IT security/information assurance and IT policy and planning, programs, initiatives and certification and accreditation. Administer and monitor implementation of the Risk Management Framework (RMF). Review risk assessments and analyze impact of potential vulnerabilities Maintain data base of system accreditation status, develops reports, and alerts system proponents when accreditation documentation must be updated. Implement and administer elements of the Army's Cyber Security Program. Develop and manage the organization's program that implements information systems security technology and procedures, to include access control and authentication of users and transmitted information. Make IT recommendations and establishes timelines for corrective action.

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized and Other Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) reporting or correcting security violations; (2) reviewing risk analysis, accreditation, or certification packages for accordance with agency requirements; (3) evaluating existing or proposed cyber security procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11) The specialized experience must include, or be supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
