What you'd do

Major duties
You will assign work based on priorities, difficulty, and requirements of the assignments, balanced with the capabilities of the analyst(s) or teams being assigned. You will counsel staff members and resolve complaints and execute disciplinary measures. You will identify and prioritize programmatic issues related to requirements documentation and resourcing as well as provide decision support tools (data analysis, graphs, briefs, etc.). You will review Congressional budget actions for applicability and provide budgetary information on all actions affecting network modernization resources during prior and future years. You will provide advice and guidance on policies, work methods, practices and problem solving. You will report on the status and progress of work as well as team and individual work accomplishments. You will engage in strategic intermediate and long-term planning, coordination, and implementation oversight of cybersecurity strategies.
What you need to qualify
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing supervisory duties and managing complex tasks across a diverse team to achieve strategic outcomes. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1.) Leading a diverse team of personnel to set requirements and resourcing priorities across a portfolio of complex technical systems. 2.) Conducting financial analysis or financial risk analysis of investments and analyzing program financial requirements for investments to provide recommendations to justify and defend budgets. 3.) Utilizing knowledge of quantitative and qualitative methods for analyzing program health, cost-benefit trade-offs, and policy impacts. 4.) Determining and developing methods and technical solutions for communicating complex analysis and metrics to different high-level audiences; and 5.) Demonstrates exceptional presentation, verbal and written communication skills, including experience drafting briefing materials or similar presentations. In addition to the above, your resume must demonstrate the following competencies: Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
