Major duties

Manages the development, coordination, and presentation of the organization's operational metrics, integrating and analyzing data for leadership reviews such as the Monthly Management Review (MMR). Serves as the primary liaison to headquarters for all Executive Governance meetings and associated activities, ensuring effective interagency coordination for executive-level briefs. Advises and assists senior leadership on strategic management and governance, leading the preparation and execution of Command-level briefs and strategic planning sessions. Leads the development of the organization's annual operating plan (AOP) in collaboration with leaders and is responsible for quarterly progress briefs to the Director and Vice Director. Provides data visualization expertise to analyze complex trends, predictions, and the interconnectivity between financial, operational, and information technology metrics to improve dashboard quality and support strategic decision-making. Synchronizes and facilitates weekly executive meeting agendas and preparation sessions with principals and directors to develop talking points and advise on initiatives requiring agency-level governance. Tracks and monitors the progress of goals and milestones for leadership's key focus areas, ensuring alignment with the DLA Strategic Plan and driving day-to-day business management to enhance operational performance.

What you need to qualify

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Experience analyzing organizational programs and developing recommendations for strategic planning documents (e.g., annual operating plans) and performance reports for senior leadership. Experience preparing and presenting informational or decisional briefs to management by analyzing and interpreting data from various sources to track program goals and milestones. Experience in the development and management of organizational performance metrics, including collecting, analyzing, and presenting data through dashboards or other visualization tools. Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders or offices to support governance activities, such as preparing agendas for high-level meetings or consolidating information for executive review. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
