What you'd do

You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY of NAVMEDRSCHDEVCOM SILVER SPRING MD.

Major duties

You will serve as the Approving Official under the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program. You will serve as the Invoice Acceptor and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) liaison between the Naval Medical Research Command and Defense Finance and Accounting Service. You will respond to inquiries regarding invoice submissions and payments. You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy and compliance with regulations. You will maintain and reconcile accounts and accounting data and prepare and analyze reports.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing duties as the Authorizing Officer (AO) for a government purchase card program (GPC) or equivalent program manager. Experience examining invoices, vouchers, and other related documentation to ensure adherence to federal financial regulations and procedures. Experience performing and reconciling mathematical computations to verify accuracy of financial data. Experience performing basic accounting principles to maintain and analyze financial records. Experience monitoring document submissions to ensure timely processing and payments.
