What you'd do

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the CVN INTEGRATION (N65), AVAILABILITY INTEGRATION DIVISION, MODERNIZATION AND INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.

Major duties

You will serve as the primary assistant to the Assistant Chief of Staff for Ship Maintenance and Material for assigned carrier Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance systems. You will provide technical and consultative services for the execution, management, and configuration of carrier combat systems programs and plans. You will be responsible for C5I modernization and maintenance including technical training, assessment, budgetary support, logistic support and material readiness support for installed equipment on assigned carriers You will evaluate technical performance up to and including the system level of equipment associated with equipment specifically related to hardware reliability, operation, performance and/or maintainability problems. You will be responsible for independently planning, designing, and carrying out programs, projects, studies, or other work. You will conduct risk analysis and provide risk-based options and recommendations for issues affecting C5ISR systems.

What you need to qualify

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering principles, methods, and tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating and managing engineering projects and resources, including technical performance to plan and coordinate the repair, maintenance, and modernization of warfare systems on ships, aircraft, or related systems or equipment.
